About Trinity Hospice

Trinity Hospice, and their dedicated children’s hospice, Brian House, provide the very best possible palliative care for the community of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.

Since opening their doors on 3rd June 1985, their team of dedicated staff and volunteers have delivered high quality care to local adults and children living with a life limiting illness.

A registered charity, their family of services cost over £7 million a year to run and they need to raise £5 million a year from their fundraising and retail activities to cover these costs.

About the role of Community and Corporate Fundraiser

Working as part of the Community and Corporate Fundraising team of three you will help manage and develop their community and corporate fundraising programme, which delivers a current annual income of £750,000. You will play a vital role within their Fundraising Team - who in total raise over £3.8 million a year to support the services provided by the hospice.

As a Community and Corporate Fundraiser you will be responsible for building and growing relationships within the local community, by working with Trinity Hospice’s third party supporters, community groups, companies and their seven Friends Support Groups to promote their work and support a range of different events and fundraising initiatives.

Working closely with local schools, you will help to raise awareness of the cause and deliver a schools’ fundraising programme. As an ambassador for both Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children’s Hospice you will attend cheque presentations, give talks to a range of audiences and deliver assemblies to develop fundraising activities in the local community.

You will play a proactive role in this exciting team, making a real difference to families across the region.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a a talented individual with proven fundraising, sales or customer service experience, ideally but not necessarily in a charity context.

You will have strong communication and presentation skills, be an excellent planner and an organiser with a creative flair.

Above all you will share the passion of the staff at Trinity and Brian House Hospice to raise money to provide excellent palliative care for the communities of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
