Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Closing Date: ROLE NOW CLOSED - CONTACT US TO BE NOTIFIED OF SIMILAR VACANCIES
This is a rare opportunity to join a successful and growing charity as its first ever Director and use your leadership skills and not for profit experience to shape its future.
The Cass Foundation is a charity that strongly believes healthy places result in healthy lives. They work with individuals, organisations and communities to research, collaborate on, promote and deliver projects that focus on health and the environment.
Projects have included the creation of Alt Park, a £1.7 million new riverside park, complete with accessible paths, a meadow, wetland and woodland habitats in the Stonebridge area of Liverpool. As part of this project, over 2,000 trees, nearly 4,000 shrubs and 2,100 wetland plants were planted, creating a safe place to visit, encouraging more diverse wildlife and reducing flood risk.
The Foundation also leads ‘natural health’ programmes involving a range of therapeutic activities, and works with local groups on a range of community-based projects and activities – all with health and wellbeing at their heart.
Following a five-year review, the Foundation’s Trustees now wish to appoint the charity’s first-ever Director to lead its future development.
The new Director will take a leadership role in the activities of the Foundation, managing the existing team, taking responsibility for the financial sustainability of the Foundation, forming strong partnerships and working with the Trustees to set the charity’s strategic direction.
You will have experience of working in a leadership or management role, ideally in a charity context, and have proven skills in negotiating contracts, securing income and building partnerships. You will demonstrate an understanding or interest in health and wellbeing, public space, the environment and have strong project management as well as people skills.
Above all, you will share the Cass Foundation’s passion for enabling healthy places and healthy lives.
Part-time working will be considered for the right candidate.
