The Huntington’s Disease Association (HDA) is the leading national charity working to improve care and support for people and their families affected by Huntington’s. The charity is committed to educating families and professionals about this rare and complex disease.
Huntington’s Disease is a degenerative disorder that involves progressive mental deterioration, significant behavioural changes and severe physical incapacity, which there is no cure for. This general lack of coordination in speech and body movement has drastically affected many individuals.
Based in central Liverpool, this is an exciting time to join the charity as the recent research breakthrough has meant an increase in the media’s attention and therefore contributed to the increased awareness of this inherited disorder.
About the Head of Fundraising Role
Have you got a wealth of fundraising knowledge and experience gained in the charity sector?
Would you like to work for a national charity that can help make a huge difference to the lives of people affected by a highly challenging disease?
As Head of Fundraising, you will work closely with the Chief Executive to consolidate and grow the charity’s fundraising income by developing and implementing a fundraising strategy across a number of income streams.
Using your head for strategy and confident approach, you will draw on your strong negotiation skills to successfully communicate with potential donors and supporters.
You will be comfortable leading a team and consider yourself a compassionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
You may be currently acting as Head of Fundraising, or you may be an up and coming fundraiser looking for your next career move.
You will certainly be a motivated individual keen to make a difference in a small but friendly charity environment.
