As a Community Interest Company, Livewire strives to promote a healthy lifestyle, increase participation in activities whilst encouraging reading and learning through the use of free access to books, IT suites and the internet.
LiveWire, a non-profit company established in May 2012, has 16 sites located throughout Warrington, including 9 individual libraries and 4 leisure centres. They deliver services and events across a range of other venues in the town, taking the delivery to where it’s needed.
Their mission is to be the number one provider of affordable, inclusive Lifestyles, Libraries and Leisure opportunities in Warrington.
About the role
As an active Board Member, you will support the operational management of the organisation and share responsibility for the strategic vision and effectiveness of the company and its services.
With a specialist background in Libraries and Learning, you will think strategically about the long-term interests of the Library, share and advise the Board on current library practices, and above all act as an advocate for the Library to help find new partners and supporters.
In return, you will be working within a friendly and supportive environment, making a real difference in making Warrington the place to get active, healthy and happy.
