Karen Crowder worked for a commercial company for ten years and was instrumental in attracting, recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce with great success. She moved into the third sector in 2008 working for a national charity in the role of office manager where, over the next decade, she honed her skills and became the primary contact for families, the general public and potential employers. Her role as office manager had a hands-on approach participating in the recruitment, retention and development of staff for the charity.
